Five New Flu-Related Deaths Reported in Indiana

(UNDATED) – Health officials say five new deaths related to the flu have been reported in Indiana, bringing the total number to 50 for the season.

The state’s activity is widespread and half of the deaths have been in people 65 years old and over, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

The number of long-term care facility outbreaks this season is at 11 and the number of school-wide outbreaks this season is at 5.
