(SEYMOUR) – A body found in a Jackson County field on Monday is believed to be 45-year-old Kevin Sheriff.
Deputies were alerted just before 12:20 p.m. Monday about a body found in a field in the 12000 block of North County Road East.
The body was discovered by a person looking for arrowheads in the field near Sand Creek.
Deputies believe the body is that of 45-year-old Kevin Sheriff based on tattoos and clothing. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow. The cause of death remains under investigation.
Sherrif had last been seen on Nov. 27, 2019, and had been reported missing on Dec. 17, 2019.
