(BLOOMINGTON) – During the Spring of 2019, a small group of 3rd and 4th- grade students at Clear Creek Elementary School began a collection of plastic caps and lids.
In the Fall of 2019, they reached their 200-pound goal. Green Tree Plastics of Evansville took their caps and lids and made a Buddy Bench for them.
The Buddy Bench is a special place on Clear Creek’s playground where a child can go when they want someone to talk to.
On Friday, January 17th, the students had their grand opening of the Buddy Bench by cutting the ribbon with family and friends.
