Visit Indiana’s The 20 IN 20

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Ale, Stout, or Lager, no matter what your favorite may be, Indiana has a craft brew for you. Hoosier breweries consistently rank as some of the best in the world at prestigious competitions, like the Great American Beer Festival and the Brewers’ Cup. So, it is only fitting to Visit Indiana’s third list of The 20 IN 20 features breweries.

All year long, Visit Indiana will reveal 20 lists of 20 must-see, must-do Indiana experiences, one at a time.

“Almost 200 craft breweries call Indiana home and make a significant impact on our state’s economy,” said Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch. “According to the Brewers Association, local craft breweries have contributed upwards of $1.6 billion to the state in previous years.”

One of the 20 breweries you can visit is Sun King Brewery, which has five locations across Central Indiana. The well-known brewery brought home the gold in three different categories at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival. The winning brews include; Getting By on Central Time, Midnight Choir and Eis Nine.

Bad Dad Brewing Company was this year’s Best of Indiana winner for best brewery. The Fairmount brewery is a family affair and was started by a dad and his sons. The Howards said they wanted to build something worth experiencing and they believe beer can bring people together. With names like Socks & Sandals and Ask Your Mother, the brews have unique names and flavor profiles. “When you visit a destination from any of the lists, post your photos on Instagram with #The20IN20 for a chance to win a giveaway,” said Misty Weisensteiner, director of Indiana Office of Tourism Development. “We will randomly draw 20 winners every other month.”
