Indiana Chamber Seeks Nominations for Human Resources Award

(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the 2020 Ogletree Deakins Human Resources Professional of the Year Award, which will be presented at the 56th Annual Indiana HR Conference on May 5-7 at The Westin Indianapolis.

The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to their workplace over the past year through implementation of best practices, organization design and effectiveness, as well as alignment of the strategic direction of the company. The candidate should also have a proven track record of giving back to the community and the human resources profession.

“HR professionals are vitally important to a company’s culture and operation. Their roles are always challenging, from finding the right talent to striking the proper balance between the interests of the employer and employees to keeping up with ever-changing regulatory responsibilities,” says Mike Ripley, Indiana Chamber vice president of employment law. “We want to recognize their contributions and encourage companies to nominate an individual who excels for them.”

Nominations by a peer, subordinate, supervisor or other person are accepted, in addition to self-nominations All submissions must be accompanied by a sponsorship letter from the proposed honoree’s organization.
