Bedford Man Arrested on Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) – A homeless man was arrested after Bedford Police officers stopped his vehicle after a traffic violation early this morning at 22nd and P streets.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, an officer stopped a vehicle at 2:55 a.m. driven by 41-year-old Jonathon Kirk after he disregarded a stop sign.

“Mr. Kirk gave consent to search his vehicle,” said Chief Moore. “Officers located a used syringe near the center console with a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.”

Kirk was arrested on charges of possession of meth and unlawful possession of a syringe.
