(HELTONVILLE) – A Heltonville teen was charged with domestic battery after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to a home in the 100 block of Jefferson Street on Wednesday.
Officers arrived at 4:40 p.m. after a report of a domestic fight.
“A female reported a 16-year-old male grabbed her shoulders and then kneed her in the groin area which stemmed from a verbal argument between the two,” says Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults. “The woman is six months pregnant and was experiencing pain in that area of her body.”
The victim refused medical treatment.
The male was arrested and remanded to the Lawrence County Juvenile Probation Department.
