House Fire Reported In Owensburg Monday Morning

(OWENSBURG) – The Center-Jackson Township Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire early Monday morning in Owensburg.

The alarm came in at 1:08 a.m. reporting a house fire at 10890 Main Street in Owensburg. The caller says up to five people could be trapped inside.

Mutual aid from area fire departments was immediately requested by Center-Jackson Fire Territory for more tankers and manpower.

Firefighters arrived five minutes within the time of the call and found the fire visible through the roof of the residence. After a search of the home, firefighters determined that no one was inside the home. All of the occupants of the home were located safe and accounted for.

The fire remains under investigation by the Center-Jackson Twp. Fire Territory and Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Center-Jackson Fire Territory was assisted by Taylor Township Fire Department, Beech Creek Township Fire Department, NSA Crane Fire Department, Greene County ambulance service, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
