Cody Todd Roberts, 29, of Mitchell, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019, in Mitchell.
Born September 11, 1990, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ronnie Todd Roberts and Monica Nikki Lynn (Pruett) Gratzer.
Cody was a self-employed mechanic and a 2009 graduate of Mitchell High School. He was a volunteer firefighter for the City of Mitchell and enjoyed cars, trucks, fishing, and hunting. Cody attended the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his children, Chance Isaac Reynolds of Springville, Cooper Dale Roberts of Mitchell, Madison Mae Roberts of Mitchell, Kylee Lynn Roberts of Mitchell; mother and stepfather, Nikki and Dennis Gratzer of Mitchell; father, Ronnie Todd Roberts of Fayetteville; mother of his children, Amber Jenkins of Orleans; Shandi Reynolds of Bedford; siblings, Donnie Joe (Danelle) Gratzer of Mitchell, Christy Dawn Gratzer of Mitchell; Jessica Marie Serotko of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cory Alan Gratzer of Nashville, Tennessee, Chelsie Lynn Gratzer of Nashville, Tennessee, Nathan Paul Gratzer of Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Betty Pruett of Mitchell; paternal grandparents, Ronnie and Marcia Roberts of Bedford, Linda and Greg Jones of Florida, Dolores “Winkie” Gratzer of Mitchell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His grandfathers, Mark Pruett and Donald Eugene Gratzer, preceded him in death.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
