Obituary: Morris D. Endris

August 17, 1935 – December 15, 2019

Morris D. Endris, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born August 17, 1935, in Lawrence County, he was the son of August William and Rhea Dawn (Fields) Endris.

He married Linda Parham on October 18, 1963, and she survives.
Morris was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1953. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Morris was a retired Journeyman Iron Worker and later retired from HFI.

Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, David (Lucy) Endris, Craig (Beth) Endris, Luke (Kristi) Endris, and Ned Endris; grandchildren, Grace, Will, Nathan, Phil, Zoë, Simon, Ben, Noah, and Clare; great-granddaughter, Heidi; siblings, Louie (Evelyn) Endris, Sue Graves, Mike (Janet) Endris, Toody Leggio, Vince (Lynn) Endris, Dinah (Tom) Hook, Carl (Linda) Endris, and Paul (Jenny) Endris; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Fritz, Bill, and Catherine Endris; and daughter-in-law, Annie Endris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m.. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Father Rick Eldred and Deacon Dave Reising officiating. Private family burial will be at Springville West Cemetery at a later time. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the church. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive to benefit LARC and North Lawrence Community Schools Special Education.
