  • 8:21 a.m. The school resource officer at BNL reported a 15-year-old female was issued a summons to appear in juvenile court on a charge of possession of a tobacco product
  • 8:19 a.m. The school resource officer at BNL reported a 16-year-old female was issued a summons to appear in juvenile court on a charge of possession of a tobacco product

  • 4:23 a.m. Theft reported in the 710 block of 21st Street
  • 3:34 a.m. Traffic stop at John Williams Boulevard and John Williams Crossing
  • 3:04 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and 29th Street. The driver was cited for operating a vehicle without a license. This was the driver’s second offense

  • 7:08 a.m. A person was on station requesting to speak to an officer about CBD oil.
  • 7:43 a.m. Medical emergency in the 20 block of Pioneer Trails Drive. A 78-year-old was ill
  • 8:39 a.m. A woman was on station to report cell phone fraud
  • 9:48 a.m. A person called the station to speak to the animal control officer about dog neglect
  • 10:11 a.m. Traffic stop at Miami Drive, just off Stars Boulevard
  • 10:16 a.m. Request for animal control to the 130 block of Dale Street
  • 10:17 a.m. Request for animal control to the 1000 block of Meridian Road. The caller has 8 cats, two raccoons, two opossums, and a skunk on his back porch and needs help getting rid of them. Traps were set and three cats were taken to the humane society
  • 10:29 a.m. 911 call in the 1080 block of West County Road 300 South
  • 12:20 p.m. 911 call in the 3710 block of River Bluff Road
  • 12:45 p.m. Follow up investigation at the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department
  • 12:52 p.m. Theft at Johnny Junxion
  • 1:04 p.m. Request for animal control in the 680 block of Davey Cox Road. A dog has no shelter and tied in the front yard of the home. No one was home and a card was left advising the family to take care of the problem. Animal control will follow up
  • 1:11 p.m. Traffic stop at Yockey Road at the railroad tracks. A citation was issued for speeding
  • 1:39 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2400 block of Judah Road
  • 2 p.m. Medical emergency in the 320 block of Grissom Road. A 75-year-old female was ill
  • 2:10 p.m. Report of a vehicle fire at State Road 37 and Pinewood Drive. The caller says smoke is coming from her car but does not see flames. Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department responded
  • 2:12 p.m. Report of an erratic driver eastbound on US 50 West from the fairgrounds
  • 2:59 p.m. Citizen assist at Mitchell Police Department
  • 3:08 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 450 block of North Seventh Street. The caller says her mother who is 72-years-old is not answering her phone and has been ill. The woman was fine and is just having issues with her phone
  • 3:24 p.m. Report of two concrete yard ornaments stolen from a yard in the 920 block of West Brook Street and the caller is requesting to speak to an officer
  • 3:54 p.m. Request for an officer to the 180 block of Liberty Street in Huron for a junk trailer blocking the roadway. Officers spoke to the owner who was unloading building materials. The person was told about the complaint
  • 3:58 p.m. Request for a welfare check at State Road 446 and State Road 58 East on a male wearing a backpack hitchhiking and appears to be struggling to walk. Police could not locate the male
  • 3:58 p.m. 911 call in the 1550 block of Payton Road. It was an accidental call
  • 4:07 p.m. Traffic stop at CVS parking lot. A citation was issued for speeding4:09 p.m. Request for animal control in the 1870 block of Dixie Highway. The neighbor’s dogs are out again and someone needs to come and get them or he is going to shoot them with his shotgun
  • 4:29 p.m. Request for animal control on Popcorn Road for a cow between the bridge and State Road 54
  • 4:35 p.m. Medical emergency in the 510 block of Lemon Quarry Road. A 79-year-old female was stuck in a wheelchair
  • 4:48 p.m. A caller reported they have been bitten by a dog in the 2770 block of Coveyville Road. The caller is going to the hospital for medical treatment. The dog was taken to the shelter on a 10-day hold
  • 5:22 p.m. Disabled vehicle in the middle of the roadway on State Road 158, past State Road 450
  • 5:27 p.m. Domestic fight at Elm Park I. The caller says the couple in the apartment next to his is yelling and slamming doors and causing a scene in the hallway. There was no problem when police arrived
  • 6:14 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 460 block of Huron Pike Road. The caller says two males came to her house and beat on her door and she does not feel comfortable. She says she peeked out of the curtains and they yelled at her saying “I know you are in there” and continued beating on the door and finally left.
  • 6:26 p.m. report of an animal bite in the 330 block of Springville Judah Road. The caller says they received a neighbor’s package and walker over to give it to the neighbor and when she opened the door her small terrier ran out and bit him on the upper leg. The bite did not break the skin and the dog has had its shots
  • 6:36 p.m. Theft in the 120 block of West Warren Street. The caller says two Christmas floodlights were stolen from her yard
  • 7:04 p.m. 911 call in the 3300 block of South Leatherwood Road. It was an accidental call
  • 7:10 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 at the dealerships
  • 7:16 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37, north of 39th Street
  • 8:13 p.m. Traffic stop at Stars Boulevard, just north of US 50 East8:19 p.m. Domestic fight in the 3610 block of Old Vincennes Road. The caller says two people came on her property and assaulted a male in an argument over his kids. The kids were placed in a red Mercury and were not put in car seats and they left headed towards Bedford. The male was injured but refused medical treatment and requested to speak to an officer
  • 8:24 p.m. Traffic stop at Stars Boulevard and BNL Drive
  • 8:57 p.m. Disabled vehicle on State Road 37, north of Orleans
  • 9:09 p.m. 911 call in the 2630 block of Washington Avenue reporting an unwanted person on her property
  • 9:44 p.m. A message was delivered to a male in the 320 block of West Grissom Avenue to contact IU Health about his wife
  • 9:50 p.m. Report of a gray truck traveling northbound on State Road 37 at the Oolitic turn off with no tail lights
  • 9:56 p.m. Follow up investigation at Hamilton Court Apartments
  • 9:58 p.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 37, north of the Sinclair station
  • 10:01 p.m. Report of a smoke odor in the 520 block of West Main Street at Hoosier Uplands. Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department responded. It was dust in a heater
  • 10:20 p.m. Medical emergency in the 2020 block of West Main Street in Paoli. A male was having an allergic reaction
  • 11:18 p.m. 911 call at the Holiday Inn Express. The caller says there was screaming and banging in the next room
  • 11:19 p.m. A woman was on station to report a civil dispute between her and another woman for the purchase of a storage unit through an auction. She learned after purchasing the unit the woman is a neighbor of her father and she had contacted her about some insurance paperwork and death certificates and other documents and wanting to know if the woman wanted them. The woman then made libelous statements about her on Facebook. The woman was given information about filing for a protective order. The woman left the paperwork at the Sheriff’s Department so the owner, a male in Bloomington could come and pick them up
  • 11:36 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle in the5100 block of State Road 37
  • 11:53 p.m. Police made extra patrols in the 6260 block of Sand Pit Road
  • 11:59 p.m. Report of a possibly intoxicated driver in a green Ford F-150 in the 3710 block of River Bluff Road. The female told police her husband left and is intoxicated and while on the phone she told police he pulled back in the driveway and there was no longer an issue

  • 12:10 a.m. Officers make extra patrols in the 420 block of Frank Street
  • 12:17 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a green Ford F-150 at State Road 37 and US 50 West from Speedway. The driver was arrested for intoxicated driving
  • 1:26 a.m Threats in the 10 block of Lakeside Estates. A male is in her house and he is being chased by two to three females with guns. The males left on foot and were walking south on Doc Hamilton Boulevard. Police found no issue
  • 3:09 a.m. Report of a battery in the 600 block of 9th Street in Oolitic
  • 3:24 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red sedan southbound on State Road 37 from Judah
  • 3:39 a.m. Medical emergency in the 350 block of Roberts Lane in Heltonville. A 77-year-old was ill

  • 9:15 a.m. Car/deer accident on West Powerline Road
  • 12:14 p.m. Property damage accident at Wisconson and Elm roads. The caller was in South Dakota
  • 4:19 p.m. Property damage accident at State Road 37 at Oolitic
  • 10:50 p.m. Car/deer accident at Judah Logan Road and Old State Road 37
