Teva F. (Mayden) Baker, 81, of Bedford died at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at the St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born November 4, 1938, in Lawrence Co. she was the daughter of Homer and Lucille (Flinn) Mayden. She married Neil K.Baker on June 29, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 15, 2006. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and had attended Leatherwood Christian
Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Sykes of Bedford; her granddaughter Krista (Sykes) Blevins and her husband Kyle; two great-grandchildren: Kamden and Karsyn Blevins, all of Bedford; one sister, Helen Lynch of Mitchell; one brother, Hank Mayden and his wife Susan, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son in law Scott Sykes, three sisters: Becky Stone, Mary Evelyn Holler, and Katie Deckard.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11th at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bedford with Pastor Sherman Thomas officiating.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Leatherwood Christian Church.
