(MITCHELL) – On Friday at 2:30 a.m. Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department was alerted to two structure fires on Greenwood Retreat Road.
Upon arrival, they found one abandoned single-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. Firefighters used two attack lines to bring the blaze under control.
The Marion VFD responded with 2 engines, and a tanker. The Mitchell Fire Department was on stand-by for manpower. Shawswick VFD provided a tanker.
The fire was extiquished and crews left the scene at 5 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
