Obituary: Larry Ray Maddox

April 26, 1942 – November 30, 2019

Larry Ray Maddox, 77, of Bedford, died on November 30, 2019, at his residence.

Born April 26, 1942, he was the son of Ray and Esta Maddox. He married Monta Rose Gabbert and she survives. He retired as a machine repairman from General Motors. Larry was a member of the UAW and the White River Valley Antique Association.

Survivors include his wife, Monta Rose Maddox; three sons, Rick Maddox and wife Robin of Bedford, Kelly Maddox of Bedford, and Joey Maddox and wife Candi of Mitchell; eleven grandchildren, Whitney, Audrey and husband Logan, Austin, Hunter, Haley, Tylor, Aimee, Lindsey, Marissa, Zeke, and Zoey.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day&Carter Mortuary with Austin Maddox officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery with Rick, Kelly, Joey, Austin, Hunter, Tylor, Zeke, Logan, and Nathan as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4th at the Day & Carter Mortuary, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday.
