Officials at Youth Ranch Thankful for Community Support

(BRAZIL) – In this blessed season of Thanksgiving, officials at the Youth Ranch in Brazil extend gratitude to all those who have made our historic progress possible:

The Purchase of the Youth Ranch Property:

Officials are thankful for all donors’ contributions, especially the generous $175,000 gift from NYC’s financial-technology giant Ideanomics, which helped complete the down payment on our 62-acre Youth Ranch property — including three scenic lakes, rolling woodlands, and three structures being repurposed for ISYR uses.

New K-9 Academy Tenant & Lease:

Officials are grateful to have the Indiana Department of Homeland Security as our new long-term tenant of the remodeled on-site veterinary clinic. IDHS will provide ISYR a reliable revenue stream and expand Youth Ranch experiences to include K-9 and drone training!

Needed Demolition & Excavation:

Donated equipment from McAllister Caterpillar, leaders and inmate workers from the Indiana Department of Corrections made it possible for us to demolish four unsafe, unwanted buildings. Knust Excavating of Brazil, Ind., is now readying the areas for youth structures and recreation areas.

Peace Chapel & Cabin Groundbreakings:

Through the generosity of five Indiana families and organizations, officials broke ground on an inter-denominational peace chapel and four youth cabins!

How to keep steady momentum going:

Clearly, tax-deductible gifts this season will assure more bold progress in early 2020. Support of annual fundraisers – including the John Jones Auto Group Truck Raffle, Sheriffs’ Shotgun Shoot, and All-American Ribfest – will help the ranch move more quickly toward youth day visits, overnights, weekend retreat, and eventually weeklong leadership academies.
