Purdue@Westgate to Discuss Disruptive Technology and the Changing Indiana Economy

(ODON) – Purdue@WestGate will host its‘First Tuesdays at WestGate’ even ton December 3 at WestGate Academy.

The monthly event will highlight the panel discussion on ‘Disruptive Technology and the Indiana Economy’.

“We have not lived through this kind of disruption since electricity changed where and how we work and live,” said Jason Salstrom, Director of Purdue@WestGate. “This panel will raise awareness of the risk and opportunity in the coming wave of change.” 

Moderated by Gerry Dick, creator, and host of Inside Indiana Business, the panel will discuss disruptive technology, trends and insights, and what it means for Hoosiers. Featured panelists include:

John McDonald, CEO of ClearObject.

“We will be discussing the use of disruptive technologies such as IoT, autonomous vehicles, connected factories, smart homes, and connected manufacturing as well as their implication and impact for the state of Indiana,” said John McDonald, CEO of ClearObject.

Purdue@WestGate’s First Tuesdays and the following networking session, ‘The Spirited Entrepreneur’ takes place every first Tuesday of the month at WestGate Academy.

This year, WestGate has had more than 1,200 attendees, including investors, entrepreneurs, startup founders, business leaders, and local community members.

Under its mission to “extend key assets and knowledge in Purdue’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem for technology-inspired growth and activity”, Purdue@WestGate is serving as an entrepreneurial catalyst in Southern Indiana.
