(BEDFORD) – The Lawrence County Election Board heard three complaints in relation to the Oolitic Municipal Election.
Complaints were filed by Leah Gross, Carol Franklin, and Dirk Sears on electioneering and other election violations by poll workers or candidates. Most of the complaints were filed following the Early Voting Day on November 2nd at the Oolitic Town Hall.
The Election Board did not make any ruling today, as they will take each complaint under advisement. They may consult further legal advice on whether the prosecutor should review these complaints.
The Lawrence County Board wants to make sure that any candidate should take an information packet on campaign finance laws and other election laws they day the file for office.
Poll workers should also attend the available training as well as review the materials they are given prior to working the polls.
