DOR Selects a New Collections Partner

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) has selected a new collections partner, United Collection Bureau (UCB). The contract with DOR’s current provider, Premiere Credit, will end in March 2020.

UCB has been working alongside DOR to plan the transition process to ensure uninterrupted service for DOR customers.

The transition will phase in on January 2020 and continue through April 2020. Correspondence from UCB may be sent to customers as early as January.

The selection process for a new collections partner began in early December 2018, and UCB was selected in June 2019. UCB received the highest scores based on DOR’s customer service philosophy, performance history with other clients, and industry best practice security standards. In addition, UCB has an Indiana operating presence at its Jeffersonville facility.

Key tools that will remain in place with UCB include:

  • A Tax Practitioner Hotline
  • An on-site liaison working within DOR’s Central Office

UCB’s contract is for four years with the possibility of extending for two additional years.
