Mitchell Man Arrested on Meth Charges

(MITCHELL) – A Mitchell man was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 6th after an Indiana State Trooper stopped his vehicle for a license plate violation.

ISP Trooper Cory Knight noticed the blue Chevrolet Colorado traveling southbound on State Road 37 as the driver was approaching Main Street in Mitchell. The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Kaden Williams, was pulled over at 11 p.m. just south of Main Street.

When Trooper Knight approached the vehicle he noticed Williams was acting suspiciously and displayed several indicators of criminal activity.

At that time, Mitchell Police Officer Shawn Cabral arrived at the scene to assist.

Officers searched Williams’ vehicle and found a lightbulb with the bottom cut out containing a burnt crystal residue. That residue field-tested positive for meth.

Williams was arrested on charges of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
