Entries Now Being Accepted for 2019 Bedford Christmas Parade

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, December 7th and entries are now being accepted.

The parade will step off at 6 p.m.

This year’s Grand Marshal is the 23rd Mayor of Bedford Shawna Girgis. She began her first term in January 2008 and is now finishing up her third term. Girgis was the first independent candidate and first female mayor for the City of Bedford.

Girgis is a graduate of Indiana University where she earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. She and her husband Dr. Kamal Girgis are the proud parents of Vonya, Ramzi, and Zahra.

This year the parade committee picked a general “Christmas” theme to allow parade entries to focus more on their Christmas lighting than a theme.

All entries MUST have Christmas Lights incorporated into their design.

The parade is free to enter and the entry deadline is Monday, Nov. 25th.

You can enter online or pick up an application at Bedford City Hall or the Bedford Chamber of Commerce.

When entering, you must hit SUBMIT at the end of the registration and an email with your responses will be sent to the email address provided on this form. Your assigned parade entry number will be posted online at www.DowntownBedford.org by Wednesday, December 4th.
