According to a Spencer County Sheriff’s Department report, the accident happened just after 8 p.m. on State Road 545 near County Road 1350 North.

Police say 25-year-old Hunter Greulich, of Evanston, died at the scene.

Jacob Ninke of Grandview, and Derek Mulzer of Evanston, who were also occupants of Grueulich’s car, were flown by helicopters to an area hospital for treatment.

Korresell was also injured and was transported by vehicle to an area hospital.

The sheriff’s office said there was no information available on patient conditions and the investigation into the accident is continuing.

Assisting at the scene were Santa Claus Police Department, Indiana State Police, St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department, New Boston Volunteer Fire Department, Spencer County Emergency Medical Services, Stat Flight and Air Evac ambulance services and the Spencer County Coroner’s Office assisted.
