(INDIANAPOLIS) – On Tuesday Treasurer of State Kelly Mitchell turned in the 2019 Annual report for the Office of the Treasurer of State. In this report the Treasurer announced an investment income of over one hundred seventy-two (172) million dollars for the state of Indiana. This is a gain of over 100% equal to 87M over FY18 returns. Â
“I am pleased that the investments we do on behalf of the state continue to earn more each year”, said Treasurer Mitchell. “I look forward to continued growth in our investment income over the next several years.”
The Indiana General Assembly is responsible for maintaining the investment parameters within which the Treasurer’s office can invest state dollars. The specifics of those parameters can be found in Indiana Code 5-13 ‘Investment of Public Funds’.
