Arts Commission now Accepting Applications for Artist Services Programs

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Arts Commission announces the opening of applications for two Artist Services programs: the On-Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator and the Individual Advancement Program.

On-Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator
On-Ramp provides artists with ways to enhance their business skills including professional coaching for the development of business plans or career goals; new connections with potential Indiana supporters, partners, or collaborators; and access to special funds to take them to the next level in career development.

The 2020 On-Ramp program will offer a three-day Creative Entrepreneur Course May 8 – 10, 2020 in Lafayette, Indiana and will focus on strengthening business skills, career goals, and community engagement learning. Those who complete the course are also eligible for the On-Ramp fellowship, which includes up to $2,000 in project funding.

Individual Advancement Program
The Individual Advancement Program (IAP) supports projects that have a positive impact on any phase of an artist’s career and directly benefits the public in Indiana and/or engages an Indiana community. Project proposals should focus on activities that support and enhance individual artistic growth and should define clearly the relationship of the proposal to career development.

Artists specializing in the visual arts (crafts, design, media arts, photography, and related folk arts) and artists with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Emerging artists and artists with disabilities may opt to apply either through the discipline directly or through the respective categories. Applications are reviewed by separate panels based on category and/or discipline.

Artists may request up to $2,000 in support for projects.

Fiscal Year 2019 and Fiscal Year 2020 Individual Advancement Program grant recipients are not eligible for this cycle of the Individual Advancement Program.
