(MONROE CO.) – Milestone Contractors plan to shift State Road 45/46 traffic to newly-constructed east and westbound lanes near I-69 in Bloomington on or after Wednesday, October 30, weather permitting
All traffic was shifted to westbound lanes in mid-August while pavement replacement work was completed in eastbound lanes.
Once shifted, traffic will be restricted to one lane, with the left lane closed in each direction. Crews will be finishing work in the median of the roadway as the project nears completion.
Additional work is also scheduled on the State Road 46 eastbound to I-69 southbound ramp. The ramp will close for up to 10 days to complete concrete patching and widening of the asphalt shoulder. A date has yet to be determined for this work to begin but will be announced prior to the ramp closing.
The $5 million project which began in June and is expected to be completed by November 15th.
