(PAOLI) – An Orange County woman was arrested Wednesday evening on a local warrant charging her with Level 6 felony attempted theft.
Police say on July 21, 2019, 30-year-old Danielle Burton, of Paoli, attempted to take lottery tickets at a Jasper gas station convenience store.
The Jasper Police Department investigated the incident, which resulted in a warrant for her arrest being issued Aug. 12 in Dubois Superior Court.
Authorities arrested Burton at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday on the active warrant and she was booked into the Dubois County Jail.
The attempted theft charge was elevated to a Level 6 felony because of a prior theft conviction in Dubois County in 2012.
