Derek Lee Stancombe, 33 of Bedford, passed away on Friday
October 18, 2019.
Born November 29, 1985, in Bedford, he was the son of Stephen & Nancy Stancombe in Bedford, Indiana and went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Derek rededicated his life a year ago.
Derek was a very kind and caring son that dearly loved his family and will forever be missed. He was loved dearly by all his family.
Survivors include his parents, his brothers Darren Stancombe, and wife Michelle and Daniel Stancombe. His nephews Paul, William (Eli) and Ethan Stancombe. Sheldon Yoder, Landon Yoder, and Jayden Arnold. One niece Sarah Yoder. His grandparents, Karl and Joyce Teter of Bedford. His aunts and uncles, Paul and Nancy Dorsett, Cheryl and Greg Hammond, Dennis and Tonya Jones, Adrian Dorsett, Laura and Mike Ragone, Greg and Julie Stancombe, Donnette Stancombe. His cousins, Tyler and Jared Stancombe, Jessi Stancombe, Travis Ragone, Jennifer McCloud, Eric and Evan Hammond, Emily Spoonmoore, Adrian Dorsett, Jr. Allison Dorsett, Ashley Mills, Jessica Allen, Justin Dorsett, Abby Jones, Zack Jones, Amy Jones, Alisha Maze.
Derek was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buddy Lee Stancombe and Oleta McCart, Paul E. Dorsett, uncle Clifton Stancombe.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Bedford Free Methodist Church, at 630 R Street in Bedford with Pastor Mike Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon until service time at 2 p.m. at the church.
Cresthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
