(NEW ALBANY) – The Request for Qualifications for the Sherman Minton Corridor Project is anticipated to be advertised on Friday, October 25.
The Project includes extensive rehabilitation of the I-64 Sherman Minton Bridge over the Ohio River, and includes additional bridges and local paving work in the immediate vicinity of the river crossing.
The project scope of work includes replacement or refurbishment of multiple bridge decks, multiple structural steel elements and the replacement of all hanger cables; new lighting; drainage repairs and painting of the steel components.
The goal of the Project is to add up to 30 years of service life to the bridge.
This project is being procured as a Design-Build-Best Value contract, and construction is estimated to be in calendar years 2021-2023.
