  • 12:20 p.m. Property damage accident at Hoosier Hills Credit Union
  • 12:19 p.m. Accident with injuries at State Road 37 and 16th Street. Both people injured refused to be transported to a hospital
  • 7:33 a.m. Property damage accident at the Filtration Plant on 29th Street

  • 6:06 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a white Chevrolet northbound on State Road 37 at the Oolitic light
  • 6:23 a.m. Medical emergency in the 9190 block of US 50 West. A 65-year-old male was suffering back pain
  • 6:54 a.m. Medical emergency in Huron across from the store. A 45-year-old female was suffering chest pains

  • 9:38 a.m. Document service in the 1080 block of Mill Creek Road for a writ of execution. A mobile barn was loaded and removed from the property

  • 10:17 a.m. An officer went to a home in the 8810 block of Tunnelton Road to deliver a message a relative had passed away
  • 10:23 a.m. Request for animal control to the 500 block of Trinton Circle for a pit bull that chased the caller. Animal control could not find the dog
  • 10:26 a.m. Lift assist in the 1170 block of Wesley Chapel Road. An 84-year-old female injured his knee
  • 10:49 a.m. Request for animal control to the 1450 block of Trogdon Lane because the neighbor’s dogs are on her property
  • 10:54 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1300 block of Liberty Church Road. A person was unconscious
  • 10:57 a.m. Deputies made extra patrols in the 5520 block of Old Farm Road
  • 11:07 a.m. Document service in the 240 block of Greenhill Addition
  • 11:12 a.m. 911 call at BNL. There was no issue
  • 11:27 a.m. Disabled vehicle at Mitchell Road and T Street. The vehicle ran out of gas
  • 12:16 p.m. Request for animal control to the 380 block of Rariden Hill for five cats in trap. The cats were taken to the humane society

  • 12:22 p.m. Report of identity theft in the 9710 of South Bennett Road. A female is on station saying her sister is getting prescriptions in her name
  • 12:23 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 810 block of 7th Street
  • 12:29 p.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 446, north of US 50 East
  • 1:03 p.m. Follow up investigation in the 3010 block of Ted Jones Drive
  • 1:08 p.m. Theft in the 250 block of Mounce Road. Someone stole the catalytic converter off his vehicle
  • 1:55 p.m.. Medical emergency at Johnson Christian Village. A person was unconscious
  • 2:16 p.m. Traffic stop at Parks Implant and Fleenor Road. A female was arrested
  • 2:40 p.m. Warrant service at IU Health. A female is being released from the hospital and has an active warrant. The female was transported to the Orange County Jail
  • 2:48 p.m. Citizen assist in the 1520 block of Spencer Pike Road in reference to a protective order. The caller says his grandson has items at the house he is coming to get and the caller is concerned since there is a protective order in place
  • 2:53 p.m. A female was on station to speak to an officer about a writ of assistance
  • 3:21 p.m. Citizen assist at Avoca Mini Mart. The caller says he drove from Oregan to pick up his mother and now his brother is not letting him take her. The mother lives in the 1880 block of Spencer Pike Road
  • 3:38 p.m. Traffic stop at Doc Hamilton Road and Mill Creek Road
  • 3:42 p.m. Request for animal control for an aggressive stray blue heeler at Old Buddha and Vinegar Hill roads
  • 3:52 p.m. Citizen assist in the 540 block of 9th Street in Mitchell
  • 3:55 p.m. An ambulance was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 4:01 p.m. Citizen assist at Dollens Elementary to speak to an officer regarding a civil matter involving the caller’s son and ex-daughter-in-law
  • 4:20 p.m. Traffic stop at Chicago Pizza
  • 4:26 p.m. Follow up investigation at Four Points Auto
  • 4:29 p.m. Report of a battery in the 630 block of 9th Street in Mitchell. A female shoved a male
  • 4:58 p.m. Department of Child Services was at a home in the 110 block of Wells Lane and witnessed some suspicious activity and two males left throught the rear in a hurry and had bags under their shirts as if hiding something
  • 5:01 p.m. Request for animal control to the 7240 block of Tunnelton Road for two stray dogs that seem like they have been neglected
  • 5:04 p.m. Animal control requested to US 50 East and Stove Road for a stray dog. Animal control was unable to find the dog
  • 5:20 p.m. Report of illegal burning at Private Addition Road and Old State Road 60 West and no one around. The fire was put out
  • 5:31 p.m. Illegal burning in the 3110 block of Dixie Highway
  • 5:35 p.m. Report of vandalism in the 370 block of Louis Smith Road. Someone had cut his fence and there are beer cans laying around. Officers will make extra patrols
  • 5:55 pm. A resident in the 1230 block of Indian Creek Camp Road reported trespassing and requested to speak to an officer
  • 6:02 p.m. Request for animal control to the 700 block of State Road 58 East for cattle in the roadway
  • 6:11 p.m. 911 call in the 4210 block of Mitchell Road reporting an erratic driver in a UHaul truck
  • 6:35 p.m. 911 call hangup at an unknown location
  • 6:43 p.m. Request for animal control to the 5470 block of Old Farm Road for two stray dogs running loose and trying to attack her dog
  • 6:45 p.m. A male juvenile was transported to the Bartholomew Ccounty Juvenile Detention Center
  • 6:59 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a male in the 6010 block of Tunnelton Road
  • 7:24 p.m. Report of an erratic driver at US 50 East and Leesville Road traveling westbound in a silver Mercury
  • 7:32 p.m. 911 call reporting a male was throwing things at a home in the 3320 block of Michael Avenue
  • 7:46 p.m. Animal control to the 1510 block of Tunnelton Road for an injured deer near the road
  • 7:50 p.m. Follow up investigation at the Mitchell Police Department

  • 12:28 a.m. Traffic stop at US 50 East and Woody Farm Road
  • 12:42 a.m. Medical emergency in the 60 block of Briar Avenue. A 78-year-old female was ill
  • 1:23 a.m. Vandalism in the 920 block of Ridgedale Circle. A female vandalized his car and left the scene. The female showed up wanting to fight. When police arrived the male told them he had made arrangements for the female to fix the damage and police were no longer needed
  • 1:27 a.m. Report of underage drinking at Pridemore Estates
  • 1:39 a.m. Traffic stop at James Avenue and 16th Street
  • 1:43 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 158 and State Road 458
  • 2:23 a.m. 911 call hangup in the 370 block of Hayes Road. Officers spoke to the homeowner and there was no emergency

Accidents – Oct. 7

  • 8:28 a.m. Car/deer accident at Sunny Acres Drive between the fire department and Trinton Circle
  • 8:39 a.m. Car/deer accident in the 1390 block of Fayetteville Owen Road
  • 7:30 p.m. Motorcycle accident with injuries in the 5690 block of Bartlettsville Road. The male driver was transported by an AMR ambulance to Lehigh field to met StatFlight helicopter and was flown to Methodist Hospital for treatment
