Washington Police Arrest Two After Report of Suspicious Activity

(WASHINGTON) – Two people were arrested Friday night in Washington after police received a call about a suspicious man near the corner of Poplar Street and Bent Avenue.

When police arrived they found Ernie Rodriguez. When police approached Rodriguez he began to resist officers and had to be detained with a taser.

Rodriguez is charged with criminal mischief, battery, resisting law enforcement, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and attempting to disarm a law enforcement officer.

Police found a number of houses had been damaged.

More charges are possible.

One of the victims was 28-year-old Carlos del Valle. He was arrested after police found he was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a conversion charge.

Both men were transported to the Daviess County Security Center.
