  • 8:24 p.m. Report of a runaway juvenile in the 1310 block of 13th Street. A 12-year-old male was issued a summons to appear in court on a runaway charge
  • 7:46 p.m. 911 hangup in the 1000 block of 24th Street
  • 7:29 p.m. Juvenile problem reported in the 3010 block of Ted Jones Drive
  • 7:10 p.m. Request for an officer in the 400 block of 22nd Street
  • 4:29 p.m. Drug investigation in the 2300 block of 29th Street. Two people were arrested

  • 5:19 a.m. 911 call hangup in the 1740 block of South Meridian Road. It was an accidental dial
  • 7:09 a.m. 911 call at an unknown location. There were three calls in the last few minutes
  • 8:06 a.m. Report of sheep in the road in the 310 block of Diamond Road in Heltonville. The owner was alerted
  • 8:08 a.m. Medical emergency in the 20 block of Teke Burton Drie
  • 9:11 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 446 and State Road 50 East
  • 9:15 a.m. Traffic stop at Gas Line and Sieboldt Quarry roads
  • 9:35 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a gold Subaru Forester at State Road 37 at Crossroads Church
  • 10:06 a.m. Traffic stop at Sieboldt Quarry Road and Maple Run Estates. A citation was issued for driving while driver’s license suspended infraction
  • 10:16 a.m. Officers made extra patrols on Old Farm Road in Springville
  • 10:29 a.m. Police made extra patrols on Ridgeview Drive
  • 11:03 a.m. Report of illegal burning in the 220 block of Tarry Park Lane
  • 11:11 a.m. Medical emergency at Mitchell High School track. A person was suffering chest pains
  • 11:15 a.m. Medical emergency in the 1340 block of Hancock Avenue. An 83-year-old female was ill
  • 11:20 a.m. Police made extra patrols on Earl Road
  • 11:27 a.m. Report of a suspicious male attempting to get in his apartment in the 510 block of 9th Street in Oolitic. Now they are trying to come in a window. Police could not find anyone trying to break into the apartment
  • 11:36 a.m. Report of an erratic driver in a red SUV on State Road 37 from the Orange County line
  • 11:52 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 880 block of Bailey Scales Road. A male in his 90s fell and is confused and the caller helped the male up but is concerned for the male. Police say the male did not seem in distress and refused an ambulance
  • 12:04 p.m. Request for an officer back to the 510 block of 9th Street in Oolitic. The caller says someone is again attempting to get in their apartment
  • 12:15 p.m. Theft of several batteries from a bulldozer in the 160 block of Sams Road
  • 1:11 p.m. Citizen assist at Dale Street to help return the property to a female the male has a no-trespass order in place. The items were dropped off and the no-trespass order is no longer valid and the male is welcome at the home
  • 1:21 p.m. Request for animal control to the 2360 block of Guthrie Road near the church for a coonhound that has been hit by a vehicle and has an injured leg
  • 1:44 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and State Road 54. Two citations were issued
  • 2:30 p.m. 911 call in the 3300 block of Washington Avenue. It was an accidental call
  • 3:38 p.m. Request for a welfare check on Mason Street in East Oolitic. Young juveniles were racing motorcycles up and down the road and not wearing helmets. They were gone when police arrived
  • 4:25 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 6010 block of Tunnelton Road. The caller has not heard from their elderly father in a few days. Police went to the home and the male was not home
  • 4:25 p.m. Medical emergency in the 4130 block of Kings Ridge Road. An 85-year-old female fell
  • 4:54 p.m. Report of trespassing on Twin Bridge Road. The people were looking at a house for sale and were told to vacate the property
  • 4:59 p.m. An ambulance was placed on standby for Orange County
  • 5 p.m. Countywide volunteer fire department radio test
  • 5:18 p.m. Medical emergency at the Marathon Station on State Road. A 73-year-old person was unconscious
  • 4:52 p.m. Messaged delivered in the 610 block of Blanton Road.
  • 6:16 p.m. Medical emergency in the 160 block of Dale Street. A 17-year-old female was bleeding. The caller then stated they would go to the hospital by private vehicle
  • 6:20 p.m. 911 call at State Road 37 and 39th Street. A blue truck spun out and hit the guard rail and continued on to Arby’s. Bedford Police was alerted
  • 6:35 p.m. Theft of a license plate from a vehicle in the 300 block of Angel Court. Police will make extra patrols
  • 6:37 p.m. 911 call from a cell phone in an unknown location
  • 7:08 p..m. 911 call in the 400 block of 22nd Street. The caller says her boyfriend just left in a vehicle that is not his car and he does not have a driver’s license and is intoxicated. He is headed towards V Street. Bedford Police was alerted
  • 8:17 p.m. Citizen assist in the 850 block of Sportsman Club Road. There was a vehicle parked on the side of the road that looks like it has wrecked. The male driver might be intoxicated and the caller is requesting an officer. The male was not intoxicated and the vehicle was removed from the roadway
  • 8:33 p.m. Protective order violation in the 400 block of East Hancock Avenue
  • 8:44 p.m. Tree in the roadway on Indian Creek and Doe Run roads
  • 9:03 p.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at Sportsman Club Road and State Road 60
  • 9:05 p.m. A resident in the 380 of Diamond Road reported she was sent a video through social media that was sexual in nature and is receiving messages that someone signed her up for several dating apps and is wanting to speak to an officer
  • 9:09 p.m. Request for a welfare check on a military veteran with suicidal thoughts in the 5190 block of State Road 158. The male was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for a medical evaluation
  • 9:50 p.m. A juvenile male was transported to the Bartholomew County Juvenile Detention Center:
  • 9:50 p.m. Unwanted person in the 1010 block of Lafayette Avenue in Oolitic. The caller says the landlord’s girlfriend is harassing her and standing outside and is intoxicated and yelling threats
  • 11:43 p.m. Agency assist at John Williams Boulevard. Bedford Police requested a K9 unit

Incidents – Oct. 7

  • 1:04 a.m. Report of suspicious activity at the pool in Mitchell. A silver vehicle keeps coming and going. Police were unable to locate the vehicle
  • 2:27 a.m. Request for a welfare check in the 380 block of Hillcrest Way. A male has been in his car since around 8:30 p.m. Police say the male was fine
  • 2:50 a.m. Medical emergency in the 4010 block of Leesville Road. An 86-year-old was having trouble breathing
