Adeline L. Fortner 94 of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2019, at 12:30 Am at Westview Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation.
She was born in Oolitic on November 16, 1924, to Eph and Eva (Morrow) Taylor. Adeline married John D. Fortner, Jr. on January 31, 1942, and he preceded in 2004. She was a homemaker and member of the Mitchell Nazarene Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Darlene (Todd) Fortner Clark of Laguna Niguel, California, one son, Danny (Carolyn) Fortner of Bedford, three brothers, Emery Taylor and Guy Taylor of Bedford, Gerald (Jake) Taylor of Mitchell, one sister, Wanda Cunnington of Bedford, six grandchildren, Darren Fortner of Bedford, Rhonda Taylor of Evansville, Stacie Gassman of Austin, Texas, Melisa Rodgers of Laguna Niguel, California, Michele Clark of San Juan Capistrano, California, Todd Clark, Jr. of San Clemente, California, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, James Taylor, Norman Taylor, Glen Taylor, and Herman Taylor, four sisters, Angie Taylor, Josephine Hughes, Christine Strunk, and Ocie Brown.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Nazarene Church at 3rd Street and Grissom Avenue in Mitchell with Pastor Joel Parsons, officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven
Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, October 4, 2019, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home and on Saturday from Noon until the service time at 1 p.m.
