Three Arrested on Drug Charges after Traffic Stop

(BEDFORD) – Three men were arrested Tuesday morning after a report they were passed out in a vehicle in the 2600 block of Sixth Street.

“An officer was patrolling in the area when he was flagged down by a resident in reference to three males who appeared passed out in a black Escort,” says Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. “Additional officers arrived and approached the vehicle. All three men showed signs of intoxication and officers could smell the odor of burnt marijuana.”

While officers were speaking to the males, they located two loaded handguns, marijuana, meth, and digital scales.

Christian Barrett

Christian Barrett, 18, Bloomington, on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a handgun by a violent offender, possession of a handgun without a permit, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a common nuisance.

Dakoda VanPatten

Dakoda VanPatten, 18, of Bicknell, on charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, visiting a common nuisance.
