BNL Mauls Madison in HHC

Adam Tlustek needed only 40 minutes to record a win at No.2 singles during the opening round of the HHC Tournament on Monday afternoon.

(BEDFORD) – Bedford North Lawrence zipped past Madison 5-0 in the opening round of the Hoosier Hills Conference tennis tournament on Monday afternoon.

The Stars dropped only four games while advancing to the semifinal round.

Cade Provo thumped Haniah Kring 6-1, 6-1 at. No.1 singles, Adam Tlustek needed only 40 minutes to dispose of Dalton Owen 6-0, 6-0 at No.2, and Graham Turner stopped Reece Whicker 6-2, 6- 0 at No.3.

In doubles, Wyatt Scherschel and Cameron Gratzer rolled past Emerson Cardinas and Matthew Burkhardt 6-0, 6-0 at No.1. BNL’s No.2 doubles duo of Steven Graham and Konley Woodward received a forfeit.

BNL will visit Floyd Central, a 5-0 winner over New Albany in the first round, on Wednesday.
