(BEDFORD) – Two Bedford residents were arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to an apartment in the 1300 block of K Street Thursday afternoon.
According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, officers went to the apartment after a family member reported that Amy Godsey and Noah Ford had arrived at the home and Amy was barely conscious.
When police arrived they summoned an ambulance to check on 19-year-old Godsey. Officers then spoke to 19-year-old Ford.
“Ford admitted to smoking marijuana around the baby and having a pipe inside the diaper bag,” says Chief Moore. “DCS was notified of the situation and agreed to let the other family member care for the baby.”
Godsey was cleared by hospital staff and she and Ford were arrested on charges of neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.
