June A. Clark, 83, of Mitchell, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019, at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born June 1, 1936, in Orange County, she was the daughter of John Allen and Cora Elaine (Radcliff) Slaten. She married Elvin E. Clark November 26, 1996, and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2000.
June retired from Visteon. She was a 50-year member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene. June was a member of the Mitchell Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed dancing and a member of the Red Hat Society. She taught her grandchildren how to swim.
Survivors include her children, Patsy (Steve) Grissom of Mitchell, Rhonda (Dean) Knight of Bedford, Ronnie Hopper of Mitchell, Jane (Tony) Cole of Paoli; 16 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jane Goodman of Mesa, Arizona, Betty Schmith of Beech Grove, Erma Brannon of Bloomington, Lowell Slaten of Bellville
Her parents; husband; great-granddaughter, Leena Blair Grissom; and siblings, Larry Slaten, Jimmy Slaten, Jerry Slaten, Marybelle Goodman, Anna Frances Ball, and John Slaten, preceded her in death.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, September 23, at the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Steve Hale officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service on Monday at the church.
