Bedford Woman Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in JayC Parking Lot

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford woman was injured after she was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Jay C Foods Plus on Thursday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, officers were called to the grocery store at 4:43 p.m. after a 911 call reporting a woman had been struck by a vehicle.

Police say 51-year-old Robbin Carter, of Springville, was backing her 2018 GMC Acadia and struck 88-year-old Joyce Barnett, of 1305 Crawford Street.

Barnett fell on her left hip and left elbow. She suffered a cut on her elbow and head. She also complained of hip and leg pain. She was transported by ambulance to IU Health Hospital in Bloomington for treatment.
