(MITCHELL) – Additional contestants are needed for the final preliminary round for the Live Talent Showcase at the Mitchell Opera House
The fourth and final preliminary round is set for 7 p.m. on Oct. 19.
The top two winners in each of the four rounds will face off in the Live Talent Showcase on Dec. 14th for a grand prize of $1,000.
Those advancing from the previous showcases are:
- Barbara Spencer, of Bedford
- Haley Chase, of Bedford
- Dwight Cox, of Milltown
- Kameron Gumaelius, of New Pekin
- Gustyn Write, of Taswell
- Jordan River Crossing, of Bloomington
The competition is open to amateur performers in Lawrence, Crawford, Greene, Jackson, Martin, Monroe, Orange and Washington counties.
Comedians, dancers, singers and all individual or group performers, except for bands, are invited to take part in the competition.
To enter the contest, contestants must complete an application and submit a two-minute video of their talent.
All acts must be family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Applications must be submitted by Sept. 27 and will be later notified of their acceptance to the showcase. Applications can be submitted online by clicking here.
