Car Crashes into Trailhead Pizzeria

(BLOOMINGTON) – A man crashed his vehicle into Trailhead Pizzeria early Sunday morning.

The vehicle shoved outside picnic-style tables at least 50 feet into the building, causing the front of the building to collapse at the business located 4303 State Road 446.

According to a Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, the driver suffered a seizure while driving on State Road 446. His wife and two dogs were in the vehicle at the time of the crash

The restaurant will be closed for repairs until further notice, but the business will reopen. Owner Mark Bell says damages are extensive and will take time to repair.

“We will rebuild and reopen,” he added. “Our family and businesses continue to appreciate the community’s support and patronage.”

This is the second time the building has been hit by a car in the past seven years.
