Donald F. Heisler, 82, of Springville, died at 5:05 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born December 26, 1936, in Evergreen Park, IL, he was the son of Fred P. and Frances M. (Demask) Heisler. He first married Gail J. Heisler. He later married Norma Lucille Ashcraft on February 14, 1990, and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2016. He was a tower operator for the railroad in Joliet, IL, and other places. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Donald S. Heisler, of Tinley, IL; a daughter, Denise D. Heisler, of Minooka, IL; three grandchildren, Trinity, Gage and Miah Heisler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Norma.
Private graveside services are planned with burial in the Owensburg Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
