Dorothy R. Miller, 93, of Mitchell, passed away on Monday, August
12, 2019 at 12:58 p.m. at IU Health in Bedford.
She was born in Mitchell on February 21, 1926, to Everett Gaines and Murl (Todd) Gaines. Dorothy married Gerald W. Miller in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Dorothy was a homemaker and beautician; she was a graduate of
Mitchell High School Class of 1943.
Survivors include her son and caregiver, Steven Miller of Mitchell, one grandson, Anthony Miller of Hudson, Florida, one great-granddaughter, Katalyn Miller of Hudson, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Andrew Gaines, Jim Gaines and Dick Gaines, one sister, Evelyn Davidson.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 16, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
