White River State Park Welcomes Inaugural Harry Potter: Wizards Unite Fan Festival Labor Day Weekend 2019

(INDIANAPOLIS) – White River State Park (WRSP), in partnership with
Niantic, Inc., WB Games, and the City of Indianapolis will host the
first of its kind real-world event that brings the popular augmented
reality (AR) mobile game, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, to WRSP for an
interactive experience for fans to enjoy, Aug. 31 – Sept. 1.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is a virtual reality video game experience
that places the player at the center of his or her own adventure,
offering fans the opportunity to engage with the Wizarding World.
Players will cast spells, discover mysterious artifacts and beastly
creatures, and create a magical experience alongside fellow wizard and
witch fans from across the world, all while exploring the beauty of
White River State Park.

“We are thrilled to host such a unique and exciting experience for
Harry Potter fans and gamers from across the globe,” said Carolene
Mays-Medley, executive director of the White River State Park
Development Commission. “We are equally as thrilled to know that the
game’s co-creators, WB Games and Niantic, Inc., believed White River
State Park and the city of Indianapolis to be the perfect backdrop for
this highly anticipated event. Our expansive green spaces, public art
displays, and culture for fun and inclusivity will ensure that a
wonderfully magical time is had by all.”

The two-day event will take place on Sat. Aug. 31 and Sun. Sept. 1.
The event opens at 11 a.m. and concludes at 7 p.m. with early access
beginning at 9 a.m. on both days. Fans of all ages are welcome to take
part in this unforgettable experience.

General admission tickets can be purchased for $30 and early access
passes are available for $40. Attendees may only purchase tickets for
one of the two days.
