(MONROE CO.) – INDOT contractor E&B Paving Inc. will begin daytime lane closures on a seven-mile section of State Road 37 in Monroe County, south of I-69, on or after Monday, August 12, 2019, for a pavement surface treatment project.
Lane closures will be in effect for approximately three weeks during daytime hours from 1.5 miles south of I-69 (bridge over Clear Creek) to nine miles south of I-69. Arrow and message boards will be present to alert motorists of the closures, as well as law enforcement.
The ramps on State Road 37 to and from Monroe Dam Road will also close Monday, August 12, for concrete patching. The ramps are expected to reopen by Saturday, August 24, 2019.
The entire project is expected to be completed by late October.
Motorists are urged to slow down and use caution in and near work zones. Watch for slowed or stopped traffic in the area.
