Bedford Firefighters Extinguish House Fire Quickly

(BEDFORD) – Bedford Fire Department firefighters were alerted to a house fire in the 2120 block of F Street Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived at 1:15 p.m. with firefighters from Station 1, 2, and 3 responding with three engines and the rescue engine.

According to Bedford Fire Department Chief DeWayne Turpen when firefighters arrived there was some gray smoke coming from the front door of the two-story single-family home.

“Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire that originated and for the most part was confined to the kitchen area,” Chief Turpen said. “There was smoke damage throughout a large portion of the house.”

Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour.
