  • 8:02 a.m. Controlled fire in the second block of Oak Hill East
  • 8:03 a.m. Controlled fire in the 10 block of Walnut Heights Road
  • 8:47 a.m. Traffic stop at US 50 West and Dixie Highway. A citation was issued for seat belt violation
  • 8:52 a.m. Medical emergency in the 800 block of Walnut Street in Oolitic. An 88-year-old male was having trouble breathing
  • 8:58 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a silver Dodge truck pulling a trailer on State Road 37 at the Monroe County line. The vehicle was stopped at State Road 37 and Trogdon Lane. The driver was just tired
  • 9:17 a.m. Counterfeit money found in the 3980 block of Old State Road 3. The caller found six fake $100 bills in the roadway and took them to the Marathon Station and gave them to the worker. Police took the money
  • 9:47 a.m. Fire alarm sounding in the 8990 block of State Road 37
  • 9:59 a.m. Traffic stop in the 530 block of Vinegar Hill Road
  • 10:23 a.m. Follow up investigation in the 410 block of South Seventh Street
  • 10:57 a.m. Report of finding drug paraphernalia and possible drugs at a home in the 460 block of Goosetown Road
  • 11:25 a.m. Citizen assists in the 290 block of Stevens Lane. The caller’s foster son was hitting and kicking her
  • 11:30 a.m. Wildland fire a quarter of a mile east of Tunnelton Road on Leatherwood Road. A hay bale was burning and caught the grass on fire
  • 12:52 p.m. Report of a burglary in the 100 block of East Hancock Avenue
  • 1:32 p.m. Traffic stop at US 50 West and Beaver Creek Road. A semi was stuck on the railroad tracks
  • 1:28 p.m. Traffic stop at M Street and John Williams Boulevard
  • 2:09 p.m. Report of a suspicious female at Otis Park on Tunnelton Road. The female may be on drugs
  • 2:02 p.m. Traffic stop at Teke Burton Drive and West Main Street

  • 2:17 p.m. 911 call reporting a male with a backpack walking around the caller’s house in the 3440 block of West Popcorn Road. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department was alerted
  • 2:34 p.m. An out of state resident reported theft from a vehicle. A Nikon Camera with three lenses and a laptop were stolen
  • 2:45 p.m. 911 call reporting a trash truck hit his RV and did not stop. The call was transferred to Jackson County Sheriff’s Department
  • 3:15 p.m. Medical emergency in the 10 block of Gravel Lane. A female was not eating and having trouble breathing

  • 3:48 p.m. Medical emergency in the 670 block of South Meridian Road. A 56-year-old male was having a seizure
  • 4:02 p.m. A hay bale fire in the 580 block of South Leatherwood Road
  • 4:07 p.m. A woman came on station to surrender a firearm she owns for 55-years.
  • 4:19 p.m. A resident in the 300 block of Hancock Avenue requested to speak to an officer about an offense against her 11-year-old granddaughter

  • 4:42 p.m. Traffic stop in the 3990 block of Dixie Highway
  • 4:50 p.m. Report of a man standing in the northbound lane of State Road 37 north of the river bridge who may be intoxicated and has almost been hit by several vehicles. The man was fine and given at ride to CAP Group
  • 5:23 p.m. Report of a tree limb in the roadway on Oolitic Road, north of Wiley Park
  • 5:29 p.m. Unsafe shooting in the 80 block of Maddox Lane
  • 5:46 p.m. Report of the odor of smoke in the 1210 block of Cobb Lane. Marshall VFD responded
  • 6:02 p.m. Unwanted person at Springville Store. A man and woman have been at the store since 2:30 p.m. and are refusing to leave. They keep saying they are hitchhiking to Joplin, Missouri. They were given a courtesy ride

  • 7:28 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a black Audi westbound on US 50 East
  • 7:38 p.m. Theft at BNL Career Center. A phone was stolen and is pinging in the area of BJ Boulevard. The phone was found in a mailbox, but three credit cards in the phone were missing
  • 7:50 p.m. Traffic stop at Fifth and West Warren streets in Mitchell
  • 7:53 p.m. Alarm sounding at Tieman Tire
  • 8:13 p.m. Theft of a license plate in the 3520 block of Tunnelton Road
  • 8:19 p.m. Disabled vehicle at State Road 37 and Woodville Road
  • 8:20 p.m. Report of a kitten stuck in a tree in the 130 block of Briar Avenue. Marshall VFD responded
  • 8:32 p.m. Controlled fire in the 2090 block of State Road 50 West
  • 9:28 p.m. Unwanted person in the 460 block of East Vine Street. A person was arrested

  • 10:48 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 210 block of East Grissom Avenue. The caller heard someone in their garage
  • 11 p.m. Request for a welfare check in the 940 block of Sportsman Club Road. The home was vacant and a for sale sign in the yard

  • 2:23 a.m. Officers were out with a vehicle at the Lawrenceport boat ramp
  • 2:53 a.m. Traffic stop at Sand Pit and Mitchell roads. A citation was issued for speed
  • 3:08 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Woodville Road
  • 3:20 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Stevens Lane
  • 3:48 a.m. Disabled vehicle at Shell parking lot in Mitchell
  • 4:59 a.m. Battery in the 90 block of Moore Lane. The incident happened during the Gathering of the Juggalos. The caller lives in Michigan. He was hit in the head with a broken chair leg
