Department of Revenue to Provide Status Update on its Four-Year Modernization Initiative

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) will conclude this year’s series of tax practitioner meetings with a final event in Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 14.

Each meeting primarily focused on the upcoming rollout of Project NextDOR, DOR’s four-year tax system modernization project. The first rollout is scheduled to go live on Sept. 3, 2019.

“After traveling to our 11 field office locations throughout the state to meet with local tax practitioners and preview the new services offered to Hoosiers as part of our initial rollout, I can say with confidence that this much-anticipated technological transformation is going to be well-received.

“The featured component of rollout one is our new, e-services portal enabling 24/7 customer access, branded as INTIME, which stands for the Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine,” commented DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp. “We look forward to previewing INTIME’s features on August 14, as it will simplify Hoosiers’ interactions with DOR and continue to promote government transparency.”

Additionally, DOR’s leadership will provide an overview of the 2019 individual income tax filing season, and discuss recent enhancements to the agency’s overall operations and communications strategy. Central Indiana tax practitioners are invited to participate by asking questions and sharing feedback.

Practitioners do not need to RSVP for this event.
