(BEDFORD) – Bedford Utilities Director Misty Adams provided the following update on the Lincoln Avenue utility renovation project.
The 4th and Lincoln Avenue intersection project still continues.
4th Street has been re-opened for the time being but there will be temporary closures in the future during concrete work.
P Street at 4th Street is closed. Studio M Salon employees and customers have permission to park on P Street while construction continues on Lincoln Avenue.
Marathon Dairy Land and Studio M parking lots are for customers only. They are not be be used for traffic to pass through.
Lincoln Avenue is closed from 4th Street up to 2nd Street. Miller Pipeline is working in the area relocating gas mains and Kings Construction will be working right behind them installing a storm sewer line.
“We estimate this closure to be up to two months while stormwater, water, and sewer work continues,” Adams added.
All businesses are open during construction.
Large trucks and semis are to use Fifth Street.
Officials remind motorists to proceed with caution around this area with the changes in the traffic pattern.
