Francis Dorsey age 76, of Shoals, passed away July 12, 2019 in Indianapolis. He was born July 28, 1942 in Seymour, Indiana to Everett and Eliza Ann (Abbott) Dorsey. He was a truck driver all his life and was employed for over twenty years with National Distributors, Clarksville, Indiana. His favorite pastime was fishing.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Dorsey of Shoals and Catina (Troy) Cannon of Loogootee; two sons, Gary (Patty) Dorsey of Washington and Chad (Missy) Dorsey of Bloomfield; stepsons, Cory Johnson of Indianapolis, Casey (Carrie) Gee of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Cari Jones of Indianapolis; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Debbie (Norman) Chattin of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a brother, Bob (Marge) Dorsey of Tennessee and brother in-law Paul Dean Hewitt of Shoals.
Preceding him in death are his parents; two sisters, Evelyn Hewitt and Carlyn Williams; one brother, Carl Patterson and grandson, Rolen Wilson.
Funeral services are 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Pastor Chris Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Military Rites by the Shoals American Legion. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
