Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana Hosts July Events Focused on Family Fun

(INDIANAPOLIS) – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana is hosting Christmas in July for House families on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16. The summer festivities will continueFriday, July 26 with the 15th Annual Pop Tab and Coin Drop – an event open to the public and fun for all ages.

Christmas in July Event Details:

What: Christmas in July offers a tropical twist on Christmas for Ronald McDonald House families staying during the summer months. Children staying at the House receive gifts, meet Santa, and participate in a fun series of family-friendly activities.

When and Where: Monday, July 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Ronald McDonald House in Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health

Tuesday, July 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Ronald McDonald House on 435 Limestone Street

15th Annual Pop Tab and Coin Drop Details:

What: Hoosiers of all ages are invited to bring their pop tabs and coin collections to Monument Circle in support of the Ronald McDonald House. RMHCCIN collects and recycles pop tabs to raise money for the more than 5,000 families of hospitalized children that come through their doors annually. The pop tab program generates upwards of $20,000 each year and has raised more than $800,000 since launching in 1995. For those that haven’t had time to collect pop tabs but still want to contribute, there will also be a coin drive and donations will be accepted throughout the day. The family-friendly event is fun for all ages, and will include live music, outdoor games, photo opportunities and more.

When and Where: Friday, July 26 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, Southwest Quadrant of Monument Circle in Downtown Indianapolis

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana provides a supportive “home-away-from-home” for families of children receiving medical care at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health and other area hospitals and champions programs that improve the health, education, and well-being of children through community grants and scholarships.
