(BEDFORD) – Lincoln Elementary Principal Angela Girgis is leaving her post to serve on a team of educational consultants with Equitable Education Solutions.
Girgis has been principal at the Elementary school for the past five years.
“I will greatly miss my Lincoln family, and I will always cherish the memories of what we were able to accomplish together for our students,” Girgis wrote on an online post. “Lincoln has amazing teachers and staff, and that will not change with my departure. I’m so proud of what our students have accomplished. I’m appreciative of the opportunity I have had to lead and look forward to hearing about the great things Lincoln will continue to accomplish.”
Her final day at Lincoln will be Saturday, July 13, 2019. She begins with Equitable Education Solutions on Monday, July 15, 2019.
During her reign as principal the elementary school was awarded the Indiana Family Friendly Award and received an “A” as its final letter grade for school accountability during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years.
