Harry Richard “Bud” Caraway, 79, of Paoli, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Paoli Health and Living Community.
Born February 9, 1940, in Martin County, he was the son of Harry and Esther (Mathena) Caraway. He married Mary Alice (Martin) Riester March 5, 2010.
Bud retired from White Castle with 18 years of service. He had also worked at Essex. Bud attended the Paoli United Methodist Church and the Paoli Pentecostal Church. His father gave him a guitar at age 12 and he enjoyed playing music. He performed with the Jammers at Orleans Farmers Market and Lost River Market and Deli.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Caraway of Paoli; children, Tammy Caraway, Lori Caraway, Drew Caraway, and Shannon Caraway; siblings, Shirley (Wayne) Bowden of Mitchell, Sherry Caraway of Mitchell, James Caraway of Missouri and Donald Caraway of Indianapolis
His parents; son, Harry Richard Caraway, Jr.; and sister, Marion Sanders, preceded him in death.
Graveside service will be at a later date with Pastor LaMont Bonath officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
